Numbness is a symptom you should not ignore.? There may be a simple solution -- if your shoes are too small or laced too tightly, you should get relief with bigger shoes and adjusting your lacing.
If those solutions don't work and the numbness persists, this can be a symptom of other problems such as diabetes. Get a check-up and tell your doctor about the foot numbness.
